Michal J. Markuszewski

Prof. Michal J. Markuszewski studied pharmacy at the Medical University of Gdansk, Poland. In 2000, he earned his PhD in pharmaceutical sciences under Prof. Roman Kaliszan’s supervision and, for two years, joined, as a post-doc, the group of Prof. Shigeru Terabe at Himeji Institute of Technology (currently Hyogo University). He is a Rector and Head of the Department of Biopharmaceutics and Pharmacokinetics at the Medical University of Gdansk. His scientific interest comprises metabolomics, pharmacokinetics, and the application of separation techniques for pharmaceutical analysis (LC-MS, GC-MS, CE-MS). Author of ca. 160 published peer-reviewed publications. He was invited lecturer during international symposia and conferences (more than 20). He has coordinated/participated in several research projects founded by Polish and international institutions over the past 10 years in metabolomics, pharmaceutical analysis and analytical chemistry.
