Dr. Bekir Salih is currently full professor in the Chemistry Department at Hacettepe University, Ankara/TURKİYE. He received his MSc and PhD degrees in Analytical Chemistry. He became research fellow at Catholic University, Nijmegen, The Netherlands, visiting professor at Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH), Zürich, Switzerland, as ICSC Wilhelm Simon visiting professor, visiting professor at Konstanz University, Konstanz, Germany, visiting professor at Etvös Lorand University, Budapest, Hungary. His research interests are mass spectrometry, chromatographic and electrophoretic techniques, non-covalent Complexes, molecular switches, sol-gels, pharmaceuticals, therapeutic drugs, proteomics, glycomics, phosphoproteomics, metabolomics, inclusion complexes, biomarkers and ion mobility. He supervised 14 PhD and 32 MSc thesis. He is the author of 8 books. He has 12 book chapter published by CRC Press, Taylor Francis Group and Bentham Science. He published over 240 peer reviewed articles, presented more than 70 presentations in the international meetings. He has over 7000 citations and H index is 46. He was in the organizing member of 4 international conferences. He has been the expert of International Atomic Energy Agency since 2005 as an expert of instrumental analysis. He awarded Hacettepe University Science Award in 2007. He used to be the scientific head of Turkish Doping Control Center for three years between 2013 and 2015. Center received the agreditation from World Anti-Doping Agency in that period. He is the member of council of Turkish Academy of Science and full member of Turkish Academy of Science. He used to be the Dean of science Faculty-HacettepeUniversity between 2013-2016. He set an updated mass spectrometry facility at Hacettepe University where more than 20 researchers are working permanently.
